Meet Topokkiman--Cebu's Superhero for Korean Food Cravings

ZeroThreeTwo

Years ago, I remembered the Dakimong restaurant which had branches in JY Square Mall, M.C. Cuenco (where Bollywood Tandoor is currently renting), and SM Consolacion. The closing down of Dakimong was probably one of the saddest moments in my food-tripping life. Fortunately, a new "superhero" known as Topokkiman (hence the logo) has arrived in Dona Rita Village and later in Ayala Central Bloc. I haven't eaten (yet) in the Talamban Branch but looking at the pictures--I might dine-in there one of these days. Though, I've ordered their food a few times from Food Panda and Grab.

Delicious food should never always be associated with expensive food. Instead, it should be associated with food well-prepared whether it's casual dining or fine dining. Topokkiman proves that with its casual Korean foods. The main attraction is topokki hence the name. However, what I usually order at Topokkiman is their really delicious kimbap which comes in different flavors. I went to their branch in Ayala Central Bloc which is located at the food court. When the pandemic struck--I started ordering their foods through Grab and Food Panda. Depending on what I wanted mean I usually ordered from Ayala Central Bloc for their delicious kimbap. Otherwise, ordering from their Dona Rita branch would be ideal for a quick lunch or dinner.

The menu at their Dona Rita Branch would be super flexible for your food needs. It could be a good breakfast, brunch, lunch, snacks, or even dinner. Kimbaps and topokkis are very flexible meals in that regard. I want a light snack then I can order smaller servings of each. I could even have several servings as kimbaps for a complete lunch or dinner. Buying this and that cold easily give me the complete Korean food meal I've wanted.

Sure, I really think about wanting other stuff like seollongtang (Korean beef bone soup) or Korean barbecue. However, I still recommend either dining in or ordering at this place if you've got quick cravings. This restaurant shows that delicious food doesn't have to be fancy or expensive. It's because delicious food can be affordable and this establishment proves it.
